Will Dallas make history with gay mayor?

This is the question asked in an article in the Houston Chronicle today.  Click here to read the article. Those of us who live in Dallas are used to seeing stories such as those below about the radical gay and lesbian agenda being pushed on people in other areas of the country.   But, we never thought it would happen here.

If  Ed Oakley is elected as the first gay mayor of Dallas be prepared for these types of stories to take place here.  People who don’t think the radical homosexual lobby is trying to force its views on society are completely misguided.

In his column at townhall.com David Limbaugh points out that “increasingly, in various parts of this nation, if you express traditional views on traditional marriage, you risk being branded a bigot and your speech being muzzled.”

“For the radical homosexual lobby, it isn’t enough that its views are guaranteed full protection, even special protection by the state. They also want to ensure that those disagreeing with them are demonized and denied their First Amendment rights.”

“If people of traditional values don’t begin to stand up for themselves, their values, their rights and liberties, it won’t be long before it will be a crime, like it is in certain other countries, to recite or publish certain scriptural texts that make radical homosexual groups uncomfortable.”

The Holy Bible is very clear about homosexuality.

Lev. 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”

Lev. 20:13, “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them.”

1 Cor. 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals1, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Rom. 1:26-28, “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”

What can people of traditional, pro-family, Judeo-Christian values do to stand up for themselves, their values, their rights and liberties?  The answer can be found by reading S. Michael Craven’s article, “Thinking Critically – Acting Compassionately: A Christian Response to Homosexuality”.  Click here to read.

Thank you very much for your comment. I am interested to know why you feel my commentary and/or Michael Craven’s commentary is hateful and discriminatory?
