Hate Crimes Law: A Direct Threat to the Church

From freemarket.org.

“A Hate Crimes bill that could lead to muzzling churches and citizens from speaking out against homosexuality is one step closer to becoming the law of the land.  This piece of legislation places sexual orientation and trans-genderism in a special class, and could throw open the door to religious persecution for anyone who does not approve homosexuality.  Seem unlikely?  Similar legislation in Pennsylvania has already been used against ‘the Philadelphia 11,’ a group of individuals arrested at a pro-gay rally for holding signs quoting Bible verses calling homosexuality a sin. The bill has already passed in the U.S. House and is scheduled for a vote before the U.S. Senate.  Churches and pastors are speaking out to protect freedom of speech at the pulpit. CLICK HERE to read an advertisement from one such group.
