Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?

One of the most common questions on the subject of Islam and Christianity is whether Christians and Muslims worship the same God. After 9-11, many in the media claimed that since “all roads lead up the same mountain,” it doesn’t matter which faith you choose as they all worship the same God. Just be sincere in your beliefs and tolerant of mine and we’ll all get along. That’s the mantra of our day. And it could not be more wrong.  For a full explanation from Dr. James Denison of Godissues.org click here.

If Christians and Mus;lims don’t worship the same God, does that mean that there are two Gods? What about Jews? Does that make a third Godf? And what about…

    John,

Thank you very much for your comment. I came across Godissues.org because I have attended Dr. Denison’s church in the past. Thanks again

    Steve,
Thank you for your comment. You are speaking of polytheism of course. The answer to your question is “no”.
You are basically saying that the Muslim and Christian religions are both true yet these religions say the other is not true. There is a logical problem here.
For example, according to the Qur’an, polytheism (shirk) is the greatest of sins. It is the only sin which will not be forgiven by Allah under any circumstance. Belief in Trinity or worshiping saints and angels is also believed by Muslims to be a form of polytheism.
There can only be one God. And if you study the evidence it is clear the only God is the God of the Bible. Thank you again for your comment.
